PCB (Women Wing) established at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

PCB has established a women's wing under Mrs Mira Phailbus to promote women cricket in Pakistan. Mrs Dr Phailbus, a recipient of Sitara-Imtiaz (Civil) and Pride of Performance, is being assisted by Mr Imtiaz Ahmed, former Pakistan Captain and Mrs Shamsa Hashmi in organising women cricket at national level. It may be added that the National women cricket championship is proposed to be held in February/March 2005.
All Women Cricket Associations and women cricket clubs are requested to get themselves registered/affiliated with PCB women's wing by the end of January 2005 to avoid inconvenience. For further queries please contact Chairperson Pakistan Cricket Board (Women Wing) at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, where a separate office for women cricket has been established.
A Women Cricket Coaching Camp would be organised from 17th to 22nd January 2005, at the National Cricket Academy which will be open to school/college girls.
