On the request of Sri Lankan Cricket Board, the tour of Sri Lanka Under-19s to Pakistan has been cancelled. It was conveyed to the Sri Lankan Cricket Board that PCB fully understands the compulsions under which the tour had to be called off. Chairman PCB had earlier sent messages of sympathy to the Sri Lankan Cricket Board expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives caused by the devastating calamity that hit the coasts of Sri Lanka. The tour would be revived with mutual consultations at a later date.
