In the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa, England’s Kevin Pietersen accumulated 454 runs in seven games with three hundreds and a fifty. Pietersen interestingly missed the chance of equalling the world record of most runs by a batsman in a bilateral ODI series by just a single run.
