Media Release - 09 March 2005 Illegal Bowling Action Commission Meeting The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Illegal Bowling Action Commission was convened by its Chairman Fakir Aizaz-ud-Din. The following decisions were taken by the Commission with the consensus of the Chairman, PCB: a) PCB plans, in the long-term, to establish a Y-Con biomechanics laboratory for the remedy of illegal bowling actions. The lab is proposed to be set up at the National Cricket Academy at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Such a laboratory will be the fifth centre of its kind in the world. b) For the short-term, PCB has decided to install Quintic 9.03, a biomechanical analysis software. Biomechanical scientist Dr Paul Hurrion is scheduled to visit Pakistan during the third week of April, 2005 to install the Quintic software and conduct a two-day seminar aiming to instruct and guide the Illegal Bowling Action Commission and its sub-committees. Moreover, Chairman, PCB has decided to co-opt former captain Fazal Mahmood as bowling advisor to the Illegal Bowling Action Commission. Chairman, PCB has also appointed the following as domestic bowling advisors:
