Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) has arrived in Pakistan after completing the Indian leg of their tour to the Indian subcontinent. LCCC will play a three–day match in Lahore, a one-day match in Sheikhupura and a 20-20 match in Lahore and against a selected Pakistan Cricket Board XI squad captained by Naumanullah.
The highlight of the tour will be the first 20-20 match in Asia which will be played on April 1, 2005 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. LCCC are not only one of the top English domestic sides, but are also the current champions of the Twenty20 Cup in England.
The match will provide an opportunity to assess this new abridged version of the game before Pakistan's own 20-20 tournament commences later in April, 2005. PCB is honoured to have this unique chance to host the inaugural 20-20 match in Asia.
