Ticket details for Kanpur and Delhi ODIs
by Pakistan Cricket Board

Event:Pakistan in India 2004/05

Media Release - 05 April 2005

As a consequence of high demand from Pakistani's to witness the 6th ODI at Delhi, PCB had requested BCCI to reserve 5000 match tickets for Pakistani cricket fans for Delhi ODI. The Chairman PCB has returned from India after visiting the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium in which the construction work is still in progress. Due to the construction, the capacity at Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium for spectators has been reduced to a great extent so that after allocating the committed number of tickets, the total available tickets for the Delhi ODI is in the range of 15,000. From this, Delhi & District Cricket Association has committed the following number of tickets for Pakistani's:

  • 1500 match tickets of denomination Indian Rs. 1000/-
  • 500 match tickets of denomination Indian Rs. 400/-
  • 500 match tickets of denomination Indian Rs. 10,000/-
  • Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wishes to announce the policy of match tickets for Kanpur and Delhi One Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled for 15th and 17th April 2005 respectively as follows:

    i) For the Kanpur ODI on 15th April, M/s American Express Travels (Official Tour Operator) are making arrangements for approximately 1000 match tickets to be brought from Kanpur to Lahore. The denomination of these tickets is Indian Rs. 1000/- each.

ii) As stated above due to limited capacity of seats at Delhi, PCB will be provided the above numbers of tickets by Delhi & District Cricket Association by 9th April.

The Indian Rs. 10,000/- denomination tickets will be given to spectators after their arrival at Delhi but spectators applying for this category may enlist their details with American Express Travels.

The tickets will be available with M/s American Express Travels offices at Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad on first come first serve basis. Spectators interested in witnessing the Delhi ODI should submit required documents at American Express offices. It is reiterated that due to limited capacity of tickets and high demand, tickets will only be made available on first come first serve basis

iii) Spectators who are unable to get tickets for the Delhi ODI, have the opportunity to visit Kanpur for the 5th ODI.
