Upon discovering that Naveed Alam of Government M.C. High School Tandlianwala played the entire PCB/PEPSI National School Cricket Tournament 2004-2005 on the basis of forged documents showing his date of birth four years younger than it actually was, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned Naveed Alam from playing any form of cricket for one year. PCB hopes that this punishment will serve as a deterrent for other over-age players from participating in future tournaments.
