Elections of District Cricket Association Rawalpindi

After long years of "internecine" strife, elections were organized by Pakistan Cricket Board's Election Commissioner Mr Javed Zaman Khan at Rawalpindi Club Ground on 30th October, 2005 to elect office bearers of District Cricket Association (DCA) Rawalpindi. This is an important development as cricket in Rawalpindi had suffered due to acrimony between opposing groups. PCB had to allow a one-time exception to the rules by enabling an amicable compromise for the betterment of cricket and towards institutionalizing the authority of DCA Rawalpindi.

In a landmark election endorsed by all competing parties, the following office bearers were elected through balloting:

Muhammad Ashraf Qureshi (President DCA Rawalpindi)
Masood Anwar (Secretary DCA Rawalpindi)
Asif Islam Bajwa (Treasurer DCA Rawalpindi)
