The President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Mr Ehsan Mani in a message to the Chairman, PCB has congratulated the Pakistan Under-19 Team on their outstanding victory in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. The text of the letter is as follows:

"I have been in Colombo for the ICC Under-19 Final and had the privilege of watching what I consider to be one of the most remarkable matches I have ever seen.

The young Pakistani cricketers fight back to win the match from what seemed a lost cause was outstanding. It demonstrated strength of character which one does not often associate with young players."
