Pakistan to Host Women's World Cup Qualifiers in 2007
Pakistan has been awarded the rights to host the Women's World Cup Qualifiers in late 2007. International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted the qualifiers as a result of major development work being done for Women's Cricket in the Asia Region.
A total number of eight teams would be contesting the qualifiers, namely Pakistan, South Africa, Bermuda, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland and Zimbabwe. The top two teams would qualify for the Women's World Cup to be played in India in 2009.
The exact timelines of the qualifiers will be defined in due course.
