Naveed Chaudhry appointed member of Appellate Tribunal

The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed Mr. Muhammad Naveed Chaudhry as a member of the Appellate Tribunal to deliberate upon the penalty imposed on fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar on disciplinary grounds.
The Tribunal is headed by Mr. Aftab Farrukh an eminent and distinguished lawyer of Pakistan who has been a Judge of the Lahore High Court and a member of Pakistan Bar Council. Former Test Cricketer Mr. Haseeb Ahsan is also member of the three members Tribunal.
Mr. Muhammad Naveed Chaudhry, a lawyer by profession has been a member of the Punjab local Government Commission (2003-08) and Information Secretary of the Punjab PPP. He is an ardent fan of Cricket who has actively played the game for Punjab University during his student days.
