PCB clarifies position in relation to change of Oval Test result

PCB Chief Operating Officer Shafqat Naghmi today clarified the PCB's position in relation to the change of result of the Test match against England at The Oval in 2006.
Mr Naghmi said: "The ICC Board's decision was based on the view that in light of the unique set of circumstances, the orignal result of the match was felt to be inappropriate.
"The comments that appeared in the media attributed to a Pakistan Cricket Board official concerning the reason for the decision are not true, do not reflect the views of the PCB and, to my knowledge, no one from the Pakistan Cricket Board made those comments."
