Selection Committee announces the 30 probables for Champions Trophy by Pakistan Cricket Board

PCB wishes to announce the names of 30 players named by the Selection Committee for the ICC Champions Trophy 2008:

14. Fawad Alam
15. Mohammad Hafeez
16. Yasir Arfat
17. Mansoor Amjad
18. Shoaib Akhtar
19. Umar Gul

The final 15 players for the Champions Trophy will be nominated from the above list of 30 and the deadline for naming the 15 players is 11th August 2008.

Doping Test of all 30 players shall be conducted on 19th and 20th July at Lahore. Any player failing the test or failing to give samples for the test shall become ineligible for selection for Champions Trophy 2008 and will also face disciplinary proceedings under PCB’s Anti Doping Policy.

PCB will monitor fitness of players and may conduct fitness tests prior to selection of final 15 for Champions Trophy 2008.
